TWMA Kama Module 1
On Saturday 23rd of January we held the first module (second in the course) of the “Traditional Weapons Modern Application” Kama Course, really well attended by BSBB Students as well as students from Doncaster, Nottingham and Northumberland. Great day and loads of positive feedback from the 25 students in attendance.

Kyusho Seminar with Master Jason Dorn
On 30th January one of My instructors from Nottingham came up to hold a seminar with the Adult BSBB Students, covering pressure points, locks, and take downs, practical applications & how to make your Instructor yelp and turn purple! Well received by the 20 students in attendance and we are looking forward to having Mr Dorn back very soon. On that note anyone wishing to start on the Kyusho course in Nottingham needs to get in touch ASAP.

WTKA International Tournament
5am Sunday 31st January myself, Kielly, Kyle & Callum headed South to Leicester to compete in one of the biggest tournaments we have entered, 500 competitors & 750 spectators, giving host to students from the UK, France, Italy, and Sweden.
It started off with some demos from all the countries involved & I was honoured to demonstrate the NSWA Sports weapons programme (with the help of my good friend Mr Crittenden) to all! Very long day, some dubious scoring & unorthodox running orders (Callum did not compete till 7pm) but with some of the best in the world in attendance. We were really proud to walk away with 3 bronze medals & 1 gold medal between us! And just as important some new friends!

Revolution Sparring Seminar
Sunday 21st February 12 BSBB Students attended the annual seminar, held in Doncaster the first section based around Points sparring, due to the weather this was ran by myself & Mr Crittenden, the second section covering continuous sparring ran by Revolution English Title winner Kev Miller. Great fun, great attitude shown by all & a few new tricks & combos learnt by all. We all had a go at speed sparring too with 40 people, great!!!

TOURNAMENTS
The first of the Revolution Tournaments will be Sunday 27th March at Balby Carr sports Centre Doncaster. This year they have included Sword Sparring!
Posters detailing the categories and the costs will be displayed on the notice board closer to the time.

Family Training Classes
Starting Friday 5th March 2010, 6pm, an opportunity to train alongside your children or parents in a fun relaxed atmosphere. No pressure, no tests or gradings just fun family training. FAMILIES THAT KICK TOGETHER STICK TOGETHER!
Existing students with parents who also train – FREE
Non members the classes will cost £5 per session with no commitment, i.e. pay as you go training. However, non members will need insurance & licences. I have managed to secure a great deal with the CMAA for £20 / year. Equipment packages also available see the notice board for further details.

Kicknastics
Starting Saturday 6th March 2010, 11:45
A fusion of gymnastics, street dance & Martial Arts blended into an awesome performance Martial Art Style to music. High Energy and a great cardio workout, not to mention increased flexibility and core strength. This programme is available to all students age 7+ with the intention of creating a high standard demo squad for martial arts & corporate events! First class FREE! No Joining fee, pay as you go training £5 per session (Block booking discounts available, see Mr Burns)

UNIFORM & TRAINING EQUIPMENT
Students are reminded that only TEAM T-Shirts & Vests should be worn during training sessions. Team Hoodies may be worn during training but it is recommended you remove them after the warm up. On that note can all students please check all their training equipment is in good working order (Parents please check children’s gum shields and remould if required). If anyone would like to order any Team BSBB training clothing or replacement equipment just let me know.
